The murals shown in this section are privately owned. Granizo was very prolific and generous with his art. While he was commissioned to do murals in many cities, he also gave many pieces of art to friends and relatives. There is no way to know how many pieces are out there but occasionally pieces show up on the internet on such sites as Facebook or eBay.
There is still an abundant number of pieces of art owned by his son's Ron and Bob Wagner, Toni Andrews, Sergio Lube and the Tile Heritage Foundation. |

Early Art |
Granizo experimented with many art mediums through the evolution of his art. Early on, he experimented with acrylic pastels and sponge effects as seen below. In the 50's and 60's Granizo experimented with other art mediums using different paints, textures, mosaics and ultimately tile.

GALLERY ART
When Granizo started creating his various styles of art, he always did it with the mindset that his art was for others to enjoy. There was always a sense of life and culture in his work and he loved to use vibrant colors to make each painting come alive. Each mural that he was commissioned to do inspired him to do more and while he did many commissions, he also did many paintings for friends and collectors.

Two Faces a Day
In 1992 in addition to all the other the murals Granizo was working on, he decided to paint two tile paintings a day as a pair with whatever subject came to mind. Humor was always a part of his creativity.
Each subject matter became a pair and that year, he produced over 700 paintings in this series.
